Pokémon trainers can catch, battle, train to earn XP, and search for rare Pokémon species within communities, city hotspots and breathtaking landscapes.

“Pokémon Go is sweeping the world, and it’s the perfect game for a province as amazing as Alberta,” said Phil Klassen, Vice-President of Global Consumer Marketing. “We wanted to inspire Albertans to explore to every region in Alberta, from the City of Calgary to Jasper National Park and beyond.”

Lucky trainers might find Rock Type Pokémon at Drumheller’s Badlands or snag Rock, Ice, Water or Dragon Type Pokémon at Crowsnest Pass. Elk Island National is not only a picturesque sanctuary for bison, elk, and more than 250 bird species, but also Tauros and Pidgey!
