A social spa experience, Auckland

A new social spa experience is arriving in Auckland this October, bringing a unique offering in beauty treatments to the city.

Spring will be opening its first Auckland premises in St Heliers, offering a destination for Aucklanders to unwind with a wide range of pampering treatments and exclusive products, while enjoying the experience with friends.

Owner of Spring Spa and Founder of East Day Spa, Ina Bajaj, says she’s excited to bring the Spring concept to Auckland, and has plans to take it internationally.

“We opened our first Spring Spa in Queenstown last year, and along with our East Day Spa brand with locations in Auckland, Wellington and Melbourne, we saw an opening in Auckland for a social spa of this kind.”

“We are excited to be bringing the Spring brand to the discerning Auckland market with our offering positioned uniquely as a social destination for those wanting on-the-go treatments in a light, modern, and social environment, unlike anything else the market here has seen,” says Bajaj.

Spring has a strong emphasis on nails, skincare treatments, as well as massage, and will feature a retail focus offering exclusive, world-leading brands such as Bliss and Clarisonic.

The pods are designed for guests to bring friends or chat to their neighbours, and feature curtains to draw if they choose to relax on their own. The design also features technology such as iPads and iPods, enabling guests to connect to the outside world while enjoying their treatments.

Spring, which has been designed by Derek Lockwood of Saatchi & Saatchi Design Worldwide, was given an ‘Honourable Mention’ in the 2013 Design Awards.

Auckland’s first Spring spa will be located at 8 Turua Street, St Heliers, opening in October 2013, with more Auckland locations envisaged over the coming year.

Spring background:

A spa experience unlike anything else, Spring is a ‘social spa’ that allows clients to bring a friend or four, chat with their neighbour or stay connected with iPads or fully-stocked iPods as they enjoy a wide range of treatments for the face, body and nails.

Cutting-edge interior design adds to the multi-sensory journey. An array of bright colours, tactile walls and a sense of space bring light to the spa experience.

Spring has been created by Ina Bajaj, founder of East Day Spa, and she developed the social spa concept in response to seeing the need for a different kind of spa experience.

Spring also features a strong retail focus offering exclusive, world-leading brands such as Bliss and Clarisonic.
