Slippery fishing on the Snake River! It was one of the last casts with a stonefly nymph on the South Fork of the Snake River in Idaho that a biggish cutthroat trout decided it was dinnertime. Mark played the fish for about five minutes as it refused to come to the net, finally the fish was in the boat but was a bit upset at being photographed from every angle, so made a gallant effort to head back to his watery wife as you can see by the action shot. This 17 inch trout wanted back in the river! Note the facial expressions on both the fish and Mark Sheehan! For more info on fishing in Idaho, go to: www.visitidaho.org
