28/03/2013Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill, the store that offers fresh, authentic and healthy Mexican food fast opened in Lambton Square Food Court one week ago and in that time has served more than 3,000 meals.
“This is the busiest store opening we have ever seen in the history of Mad Mex,” explains American founder Clovis Young who is based in Sydney and has opened 33 Mad Mex stores in Australia. “We are thrilled that the people of Wellington have embraced us with open arms and hungry stomachs, and they just keep coming back for more.”
??Mad Mex opened at 10:30am last Tuesday and with higher than expected numbers lining up for a real Mexican experience as guests are greeted with yells of ‘Hola!” and other Spanish lingo.
“We have been planning this day for more than eighteen months. We know the location is good, the desire for authentic Mexican food is real and Wellington’s focus on fast, fresh food is clear,” says James Tucker, the serial hospitality entrepreneur who holds the Master Franchise for Mad Mex in New Zealand. “We are looking for other great ?sites in the main centres and will expand from there,” continues Tucker.
