Wet and Wild in Idaho

Wet and Wild in Idaho

It was just another lovely summer’s day in Idaho . . . the temperatures hovered around 80 degrees, down from the usual high 90s. After a 45 minute drive from Boise I arrived at the Cascade Raft HQ on the banks of the Main Payette River. I had booked a half day, three hour rafting trip, enough to ‘Wet’ the appetite. Half day trips are perfect for veterans, families, kids and first timers . . . one woman on our trip called Cindy was a first timer and she admitted she was scared of water but by the end of the trip had overcome her fear! This is whitewater fun at it’s best with some class II-III rapids and nice smooth floating sections in between, perfect on a hot August day. We even saw a beaver building it’s riverside dam . . . pretty cool. www.cascaderaft.com
