Hiking This Restless Land

With Mt Ruapehu’s Crater Lake hotting up once more, I thought some of you would like to see it before it blows again. We hiked to the rim at 2,600m last week (Below the 2797m summit – the highest peak in the North Island) with debris covered glaciers below us. We probably wouldn’t have made it without Jamie, our guide from Walking Legends: www.walkinglegends.com More later on hiking the 19.4km Tongariro Crossing.
