Who:        Starline Tours, the Number One Celebrity Tour Company in Los Angeles, with Turner Classic Movies (TCM) launches the Movie Locations Tour of Los Angeles June 26, 2014

What:       New Movie Locations Tour – LA combines movie locations, movie clips and expert TCM commentary aboard a one-of-a-kind panoramic viewing bus for the ultimate movie lover

The Movie Locations Tour – LA blends more than 50 movie locations with authentic film clips presented on a 65” HDTV viewing screen aboard a custom-designed bus with stadium seating. Panoramic windows, including retractable side windows and skylight windows allow maximum viewing of the movie locations, all synchronized with movie clips and expert TCM tour commentary from Starline Tours’ guides. TCM host Ben Mankiewicz appears on screen during the tour, providing behind-the-scenes insights.

When:       Tours open to the public Thursday, June 26, 2014, offered year round, with additional tour times in peak season.  May – September, tours are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and Mondays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.

Duration:  3 hours, with two stops at movie locations

Where:     The tour covers more than 50 movie locations in Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles where the architecture and landscapes have portrayed Los Angeles in movies, as well as New York, Miami and Tokyo – past, present and future.

Highlights include:

–      Bradbury Building Interior (“Blade Runner”, “The Artist”) – first stop

–      Broadway (“Transformers”, “D.O.A.”, “Safety Last”)

–      Hollywood Boulevard (“The Italian Job”, “A Star is Born”, “Iron Man”)

–      Union Station Interior (“The Dark Knight Rises”, “Catch Me If You Can”) – second stop

 

Tours depart from Hollywood at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, with optional pick up from 250 hotels.

(“Transformers”, “Fast & Furious”), Modern Classics (“Aviator”, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, “Pretty Woman”, “Speed”) Evergreen Classics (“The Graduate”, “LA Confidential”, “Ghostbusters”, “Rebel without a Cause”) Film Noir (“Double Indemnity”, “Cry Danger”) and Early Movies with Charlie Chaplin, Mae West and Laurel & Hardy.
